I have just been to my friend’s house for a dinner party and it was such a great experience. She has just had a lot of work done on her house and it looks really amazing, especially the bathrooms. I think she should get a job as an interior designer because everything looks so good and she did design it all herself. She has managed to make everything look bright and airy in a house which is not naturally light. She has kept it all clean and neat, contemporary but also fairly classic, which is amazing. She has also thought carefully about the needs of her family and made sure that it isn’t all about looks but practicality plays an important part too. She has picked the same decorative ceramic tile for kitchen and bathrooms and it adds a consistent feel to the place and is a design which just works really well. She has beautiful his and hers stone vessel sinks in all of the bathrooms so whether it is her and her husband, guests or her children using the bathroom, they can have their own sink. She has even had a go at doing some of the work herself, buying some flooring tools and making a lovely mosaic in her en-suite bathroom, to put her own personal stamp on the place.
